Fresh Beginnings

I'm baaaaacccck! I hope it's not too late to greet you all a Happy 2014! I'm starting fresh this year by sharing with you some snapshots on how I celebrated the New Year's Eve with my family rather than the usual outfit post. Plus I'm also sharing with you my resolutions and goals for the new year, if you don't mind. :")

1. Prioritize studies. I'm turning 20 this year and I'm not getting any younger. That means I have to think about the future already and start working hard for my dreams. I often complain about how stressful it is to be an Accountancy student, how unfair it is when friends can casually stroll in a mall or go out at night while I'm stuck in the library or at home studying. But I realize now that dreams and sacrifices comes hand in hand. And as one of the basic lessons I learned in Accounting, every benefit has its cost!

2. Improve as a blogger. I've been a really lazy blogger in the latter part of last year (my last blog post was even from way back July!) and a really lazy A-Fash member, too. Although blogging usually needs a handful of effort and time, I actually miss everything about it. I miss having our weekly shoots, post-processing photos, and just drafting a blog post. Of course, I miss my A-Fash fam! Hihi *u* I swear I'll try my best to join the shoots again~ And I'd also like my style to evolve this year.

3. Socialize more. I've gained a lot of new friends last year which I am really thankful for. This year I want to have an even larger circle and strengthen old ties because more really is merrier!

4. Read more books. I actually have a list of books I'm planning to read this year. Ah I just can't deprive myself of the simple pleasure of reading! *u*

5. Enjoy the little things. Be it watching Korean dramas the entire day, fangirling over Kim Jongin, dancing and singing my heart out to my fave KPop songs, or just being able to sleep an extra hour on a school day

6. Spend less on unnecessary things. I've been an impulsive buyer lately and it surprises me since I'm a proudly kuripot person ever since haha! One of my top priorities this 2014 is to save up so that when something good comes along, I have spare cash to spend for it (like EXO's Solo Concert! Heeee I wish~).

7. Finish writing a story! Honestly, this had been on my list since I don't remember when! Haha. I don't even know if I'll accomplish this at the end of the year but whatever I feel like including it anyway lol~

8. Give my best on everything so I won't have to repeat the process. I've learned the hard way and I sure don't want to make the same mistakes again!

9. Either do something about my imperfections or embrace them.

10. As what my favorite Law professor told us, "There is no better time to start than right now." I'll try to do everything according to plans and not procrastinate from now on.

There goes my resolutions for the new year. What's yours? :)

Almost Forgotten

I was browsing my Tumblr account a few days ago and saw an old post about a photoshoot I had with Kawaii Photo and Printing Services. And then I remembered that I haven't blogged about my third set yet, which is bohemian style. So here it is! :D

The photoshoot which I am talking about happened October last year and that explains why I still have short black hair in the photos. This was also the time when my bangs was starting to grow back. Yes, I used to have full bangs in the earlier days of my blog! Hahaha.

Lace Top & Shorts - Next (SM Dept. Store), Fringe Boots - Thrifted,  Accessories - Random Shops

This bohemian set is my favorite next to the edgy style simply because it's the easiest to work on. Unlike the edgy set, I don't have to look fierce or anything of that sort since bohemian fashion is characterized by having free spirits and just letting loose. And so that's exactly why I did, I let loose and had fun! :)

And here's some photos with the other ladies :-)

Oh hi, Kae! Sorry I ruined your emote moment here. Hahaha!

Oh how I wish I'd have a shoot like this with the Kawaii team again. It's really fun and I actually miss one of their photographers. She's my elder sister, you know. Hahahaha! (Hi Ate Mau if you're reading this :p)
L-R: Jamie Sotto, Kae Gonzaga, yours truly, Arlene Bufete

If you haven't read the other sets yet, click here for the kawaii set and here for the edgy style. :)

Lovely Laces

image

Finally~~~ After asdfghjkl years, I'm back to blogging! I sincerely apologize for not being a responsible blogger these past few weeks which is either because my acad life is consuming all my energy or I am way too lazy to do anything. Mehehe. But anyway, enough of the rants.
Here's a special Wednesday photoshoot with A-Fash way back November (I'm super late I know! Lol) with the theme laces. It was special because we had some members of the Oragon Photographers Association as our photographers. How cool is that? *u*

image

I was a bit surprised when I went to the shoot location because I was only expecting Mr. Xeres Gagero to photograph us. But then, there were two more! Good thing I was prepared! Hihi.

So far, this is one of the easiest themes of A-Fash for me. Not to mention one of my favorites! If you'll dig in my closet, you'll actually find more than a couple of my clothes with laces on it. I am telling you, I am in love with laces! Haha!

And ohhh, A-Fash's now increasing in numbers! Don't forget to like our Facebook page here
Hype this look here.
I hope you are all having a nice start of February--the love month, as what they say. But whether or not you have someone special to celebrate it with, just remember that love comes in all forms and that we must always spread love in any way possible. Charot! Hahaha!

Love always,

We Bring the Boys Out

Finally, a new blog post! I've been really busy lately due to some stuff like watching Meteor Garden again (I'm weird, I know lol) and daydreaming. Yes I've been very productive indeed! Hahaha.
Anyway, here's another photoshoot with A-Fash! :"> It was our second time to have a theme. The first one was Bohemian but I wasn't around and this week, it was Vintage.
From L-R: Me, Lhea, Ching, Jamie, Annika, Danica, Didi & Joyce, Abby

I'm not sure if my outfit gave justice to our theme but I guess it was perfect because I've been dying to wear this for weeks yet haven't found the right occasion to. :D

/awkward smile lol

What do you think of my outfit? I actually got a lot of funny comments with this one. A classmate told me that my blouse's really cute and I look like a Sto. NiƱo. And I was like, "Thanks. But, is that an insult or what?" Hahaha. Another friend teased me about having a dance performance while there was also one who told me I look like I'm attending a first holy communion. Lol. Annnndd, my very own dad said I look like I'm still in grade school! Wow thanks Dad for being so supportive! Hahaha. But rather than being offended, these comments really made me laugh hard! :))

Blouse & Lace skirt - thrifted, Belt - SM accessories, Ring - mom's

I'll tell you a little secret: This lovely satchel bag only costs me (or rather, my mom :D) 180 pesos! A lot of thanks to whoever invented thrift shops! *u*

Another thing which caught people's attention - my oxfords + colorful socks combination. Because I was a bit late for the shoot, I had to walk alone to where they are and I swear the whole time I thought people were laughing secretly at me. Haha. I'm such a paranoid! And oh, I wore a pair of flats the whole day and only changed into these in time for the shoot. :)

Hey, have you heard the song The Boys by Girl's Generation? I know it's old but it always make me want to dance every time I hear it nevertheless. Just saying :D I'm actually listening to it right now and yes that's where I got this blog post's title. :)

Stay sweet and safe, you guys! :">
P.S. Photos taken and post-processed by Frances Joyce Vasquez :)
